This is actually an interesting viewpoint.

Should others also do the same with respect to companies represented
here on Mailop? Especially if others have been told not to reach out
personally, but only to use role addresses?

Interesting topic of course, the industry as a whole has kind of given
up reaching out to postmaster@ or abuse@, but those are exactly what
they are designed for.

But if you ARE reaching out to one of those addresses, YOU should not be
using a 'role' account, you should use a human address if you want it to
be taken seriously.

On our cloud email platform, I can't remember the last time someone
emailed either of those two addresses, except for a few bots.

Maybe we are 'just that good' as far as abuse is concerned (j/k)

Yes, but for contacting them it worked. And pretty I'm sure there is a real
human sitting behind the role based address.

Hello Heiko,

Thank you for this. I usually avoid role-based addresses when trying to reach
out to someone about email if only because I rarely if every receive any
response, but I wrote to that one today hoping for a response.

Thank you again!

I had success in contacting postmaster@… (it was 2022-06-27). If you do
not have success, please contact *me*, maybe I can help.

[mailop] Freenet.de Contact

2023-01-27 Thread Chris Huff via mailop
Hello,

I see that a fair number of us wanted help from someone at freenet.de last
year. Now it's my turn. If anyone here either works for or knows the best
path to writing to someone at freenet.de I would appreciate it. We have a
customer who has been told a couple of different reasons as to why their
email won't be accepted anymore and I wanted to at least understand more if
not stop the block altogether.
