That's by design. Google/Bing tiles are only available at specific scales and
these tiles can't be warped to fit your custom scale (either technologically
or legally) so of course whatever scale you put in will have to "snap" to
the nearest supported Google/Bing scale.

HI!

When Google or Bing maps used as basemaps then Status Scale widget  not
working as needed.
Example: I want to set scale to 1 but maps scale gonna be 9028, so its
seems its not possible to use custom scale like user wants.
I use mapguide 2.5.
Can I also define Google basemap min or max limits.

[mapguide-users] MapGuide Open Source 2.6 Preview Release 2

Hi All, 

I've put up a 2nd preview release of MapGuide Open Source 2.6

This release is also windows-only and purpose of this release is to ensure
that everything is in order in the Windows installer for when we start the
2.6 release cycle proper. This 2nd preview release has several major updates
to key web tier components:

 * PHP is now 5.5.3
 * Apache is now 2.4.6
 * Tomcat is now 7.0.42

These updates have impacts on the installer. Please use this release to test
and report any installer issues you encounter. 

This release is for *testing and development purposes*. Use in a production
environment at your own risk.

And to re-iterate the same warning as the last preview release: Support for
Windows XP and Server 2003 has been dropped due to moving to VS 2012 as the
defacto compiler on windows. Do not file tickets about 2.6 not working on XP
or 2003. They will be ignored. You have been warned.

When FDO branches for 3.9, that's when we'll put out the first beta release
of 2.6
