Re: [mapguide-users] Install the latest version of apache and php without updating mapguide

2021-12-22 Thread Jackie Ng
On Windows, you may try your luck with getting updated httpd binaries for
apachelounge.com. No guarantees this will work or not as I do not know what
the binary compatibility policy is around httpd modules on Windows.

On Linux, you may try your luck with building the relevant branch of
MapGuide from source with an updated httpd tarball.

PHP is not upgradable and is stuck on 5.6.40 until we can get functional
MapGuide API bindings working with PHP 7/8 extension API.

Hi, in order to increase system security is it possible to install the

If not, what solutions could be adopted?

Security has now become a fundamental requirement of Web applications.

Thanks in advance

Re: [mapguide-users] Mapguide 2.5.2

2021-12-22 Thread Scott Hameister
Using Jackie's Rest client and a custom viewer. I did this for one other
person, but can't remember what it was, for some reason I am thinking it
was sqlncli. Maybe that customers problem was an older SQL version, and
nothing with mapguide 2.5.2

Have someone on mapguide 2.5.2, does it support TLS 1.2 as the only
TLS? I thought I saw a patch but I can't find it anywhere. The mapping data
 is MS SQL spatial.

They are on this version for Sid/ecw support.

Only the basemaps need to be tweaked.

For example, in the xml of the flexible web layout, make sure Google, Bing

Are you using Apache or IIS?
Most of the SSL changes are tweaked within the base-mapping.
