In this case, I would like to see Australia/Oceania at the centre, (ie 150 -
160 deg E) rather than having the map centred on 0 deg. Can anyone help out
with such a World map view?

David Haycraft, (who seems to be a wiz with the Mapinfo package,) has manged
to manipulate the standard MapInfo World map, so that it is centered on
Longitude E150, but behaves just like the original. All the World
projections work perfectly. (This was his second version, which went
directly to me, not via the MapInfo-L group.) Congratulations David!
