MI Live Database

2000-05-15 Thread Sprenz, Martin

Hello All,
Please forgive me first of for being vague. It's because I don't have
enough knowledge of what it is I'm asking. I have a program that writes
"real time" to a .TXT file. Is there a way to do a "real time" thematic for
this .TXT file. i.e. every time a new Lat/Long reading is uploaded into the
file the point would show up in the map. I have a lot of options like
linking this file through a .MDB or the .TXT file itself since it's very
(predictably) formatted. The column format looks like this:

Lat LongDataDataData
34.5-83.6 1 2 3
34.5-83.6 1 6 2
34.5-83.6 1 7 1
34.5-83.6 1 9 3

The MI program needs to look the max value of "Data" for each row and apply
the thematic to that value.

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Marty
Sprenz.

MI SQL Select

2000-02-18 Thread Sprenz, Martin

Hello To All,
I'm looking for a Query that would select all the polygons that border a
selected or given polygon. Is there a function that could achieve this
result?

Thank you in advance, Marty Sprenz

RE: MI Mi: Large Access tables

1999-11-30 Thread Sprenz, Martin

I'm having the same problem with a fraction less records but a lot of
fields. I hope someone has a solution to this problem.

Subject:MI Mi: Large Access tables

Hello List,

I have a problem in registering large access databases. I
want to
register access tables as a mapinfo table which have more
than 40
rows, and always end up in the message (translated from
german):

Microsoft Acess error. Not enough memory. Unable to register
table
xyz.tab

The task manager does not show any usage of memory during
this command,
i am working with a pII, 266 128MB Memory plus 128 paging,
disk is not
full (ca. 1gb free)

Smaller tables up to 10 rows work.

I tried Mapinfo 4.5 4.5.2 5.0 and 5.5

Is this a known problem?

Any hints are welcome,
best regards,

Markus
