I am unclear on the ability of MI/MapX to store attribute data in a remote database. When you use "File save as" and select a MDB or dbf file, no dat file is created. When you open a DBMS table into MapInfo, MI makes a .dat file. So, can you attach to a table in another database without creating a copy of the attribute data locally, or is that only a "save as" option? Can you ever have the attributes to a polygon layer in, say, SQL Anywhere and have the map objects in MI? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this list, send e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and put "unsubscribe MAPINFO-L" in the message body, or contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
