I WAS WRONG IN MY FIRST SUMMARY AND PATRICK PHILLIPS HAS BEEN RIGHT ALL ALONG! Mr. Phillips sent me the code mentioned below and it works perfectly with the SetParent API. Thank you very much Patrick for your persistence at opening my eyes. _____________________________________________ Claude Lavoie, a.g. The MapInfo Runtime object does not have as many methods and properties as the application object. This is where Mr. Lavoie ran into a snag. Instead of using 'ProViewer.do "Set Next Document Parent "...' use the SetParent API call and all is well. You can even add your own tool bar, if you approach the problem from the right direction. I have put together a small Visual Basic Application that works. I'm not saying it is pretty. I'm saying it works. I am willing to provide the code to those who are interested. Yes, even Mr. Lavoie.
