I've created a wiki page[1]. Let me know what you think of it and if it is
OK we could start collecting names of interested members. I made a point of
stating that the tool of choice for the production of the magazine is the
 LibreOffice suite.

Hi all,

Very cool. Working together is always good.

I'm preparing new templates for the magazine. I think that may be used by
all
with some changes.

Cheers

  Hi folks

 For me it seems fine.

I agree with Renata: We could develop the first international issue in a

 you think?

  Hi,

This is good. Now, another teams can translate to your language.

Thanks Paulo, for finish the pages. I've been occupied.

Maybe now we can start to think about how to make the first issue, don't?
We can think in release of the first issue of international together with
 the next brazilian issue.

 How it looks like?

 Renata Marques

We will have to first advertise the fact that we are interested in creating
a LibreOffice Magazine International (if this is the name we would like to
call it). We should advertise the need for interested members who would like
to sign on on the various mailing lists and maybe have a membership signup
page on a new wiki section. Remember, this exercise is all about providing
those people who said they were interested in a LibreOffice magazine, now is
the time to sign up as all of the preliminary work has been made through the
translation of the BrOffice structure/flow into EN. All we need to do now is
to copy and apply this winning formula to an international magazine.

Renata and Paulo: Yes, if we were to go ahead, we would need the help of
the Brazilian members to keep us on task to meet the deadlines.

How about first advertising on the lists and then having people sign up on
a wiki page. We could call the page LibreOffice Magazine International and
this could be the frontpage to the magazine that will eventually serve the
same purpose as the LibreOffice Magazine Page on the wiki. If we have
enough volunteers and think the magazine can be produced, we could later
move the sign up sheet to a Collaborators page (just the same as in your
 structure).

I've created a wiki page[1]. Let me know what you think of it and if it is
OK we could start collecting names of interested members. I made a point of
stating that the tool of choice for the production of the magazine is the
 LibreOffice suite.

 Cheers,

 Marc

  Hi Renata and Paulo

  Hi Marc.

I have translated the following pages (review is needed):
  http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Marketing/Magazine/Production
  http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Marketing/Magazine/Repository
  http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Marketing/Magazine/FriendPages

I notice that some of the pages have been moved over. Many thanks for
 all
of your work. Do you still have many pages left to move. Do you need
 any
help with checking with EN translation? Once the EN version is done we
 can
start advertising the LibreOffice project to all of the other language
groups and they could start translating/localizing all of the pages.

Pages below should be different from ours, because of their context. I've
  marked them as Under Construction:

  http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Marketing/Magazine/Issues
  http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Marketing/Magazine/Translation

The following page needs to be writen either in our wiki and
 international.

  http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Marketing/Magazine/Guide

Should I go ahead and add it to the menu list on the marketing
 page[1].

I've included the menus in all pages above (the same as in
Marketing/Magazine). I think you can include Marketing/Magazine page in
 the
  menu list now.

 Hi Paulo

The pages all look fine in EN. Thanks for doing this.

[libreoffice-marketing] LibreOffice Magazine International is organizing with sign-up sheet

2011-06-20 Thread Marc Paré
With the help of the *Brazilian team*, an effort to organize an
international version of LibreOffice Magazine has been created.

If you are interested in participating, on a regular basis, to the
production of the LibreOffice Magazine International (the
international EN version) please feel free to sign-up on this page[1].
As there are many different posts to fill, it would greatly help if you
could let us know of any skills that you wish to bring to the project.
Feel free to view the LibreOffice Magazine Brasil -- Collaborators
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/PT-BR/Colaboradores page for an
example of some of the tasks that you may be able to fill. We should
also acknowledge the Brazilian team who has offered its help and
expertise with the production/structure of the magazine.

You must be willing to use the LibreOffice suite as the tool of choice
for the full production -- Writer and Draw are the modules most used in
the production of the magazine. The LibreOffice suite is the tool by
which the magazine will showcase its abilities to serve as a
professional tool.

Cheers,

Marc

[libreoffice-marketing] LibreOffice Magazine link tweaked

2011-06-20 Thread Marc Paré
I have tweaked the LibreOffice Magazine link on the Marketing wiki
page[1] and added a new landing page for the LibreOffice Magazine wiki
page. This page will now list all of the language group LibreOffice
Magazine [Language] publications as they appear.
