That would be great -- although I've been investigating this and it doesn't look possible, at least without a lot of work. We can get the calendar data in .ics format, but I haven't found a MediaWiki method or extension to process the content. If anyone else has any ideas, let me know... The wiki can be a convenient way to keep track of information for an event, coordinate people at booths, etc. For example, here's the event page for SCALE conf: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Events/2015/SCALE The wiki has some handy features that I'm not sure are available on the calendar yet: - Universal edit access (event volunteers, etc..) - Version control - Markup features Perhaps all events should start as an entry on the calendar with date, time, location, title, and a blurb. If we need to keep track of any additional information for an event -- e.g. for a hackfest or conference with volunteers -- we can create a wiki page for it, and link it with the event on the calendar. The top-level Events page on the wiki currently displays a handy overview of all the events for the year, broken down by region. If that table could be automatically generated from the calendar entries, that'd be really slick! Hello everyone, I agree to separate the events so there is a better order. The less to maintain the better. And yes, having central places and let the other places referring to its content doing automatic refreshing too is „A Very Cool Thing“, IMHO. Hi everyone, Many of you will have seen this page: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Events There's a lot of information that's duplicated in both the calendar and the wiki page (ie the events list underneath). I think it'd make more sense to just have the calendar, and all events information in there. What do others think? Is it important to have the separate wiki pages? (On a similar note, we want to make the calendar embedded into the wiki and LO website, rather than just via a link. This is a limitation with Nextcloud, but should be fixed in the next release of the calendar.) -- Mike Saunders, Marketing & PR The Document Foundation -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: marketing+unsubscr...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/marketing/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: marketing+unsubscr...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/marketing/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
