Hi!

Thanks for the input James. I'm afraid that those are two important
items that would go under radar if you don't point out because I don't
use them at all.

If you're going to do this article Sylvia there's two things I'm very happy
to see in F24 ...

A usable Wayland session - I've been Wayland only since I upgraded at beta
and it's been a pleasant experience for the larger part

Docker 1.10 - this handles selinux enabled containers with a btrfs storage
engine so I can get great efficiency of disk plus stay secure when doing
container stuff

Hey Sylvia,

Just wanted to let you know that I didn't mean to be passive aggressive in
any manner (read my previous reply n felt it kind of seem like I was), was
just trying to say that someone might have already taken up the task. I'll
share with you the docs result later.

Thanks for helping to continue this article!! :)

Hello Huiren!

If nobody else do it, I can do it myself. But yeah, I'd like to take
a look at the results of your Google form.
Besides that, I've been absent from meetings (Sorry!) but as you can
see, I'm still contributing to the Magazine; so maybe I missed
something.

Hi Sylvia,

I think this was mentioned in one of the magazine meetings. I've put
forward that I don't have time to continue this article due to having a
crap load of projects and tests since the past few weeks.

I would be happy to share the google form results but theres not much
valuable input, let me know if you insist.

It would be fantastic if you could do up this article on fed marketing
instead. (Or is someone else alrdy continuing it as per meeting 2 weeks
ago?) thanks! :)

It's interesting, I don't know if this article will be published or
not on the Magazine, but I wrote a post on my own WordPress reading
this and other inputs. And my own thoughts, of course.

Might be a good idea to email specific contributors for this too, e.g.
people working on specific areas of Fedora or maybe past people on "How
do you Fedora?"

Also couldn't hurt to drop a note to the CommOps list asking for help
spreading the word.

Looking forward to seeing where this one goes! :)

Interview various Fedora users about what they look forward to in F24

What are your thoughts?

I'm personally +1 to this idea for the Magazine to help build some hype for
the upcoming release. If we could time this for the week of the beta
announcement, I think this article could have a very high impact right
around that time period. Maybe even the week before the beta drops to get
the suspense rolling.

I love the idea too. The only thing I might suggest is holding on to
this until after Beta (during which time anyone can still download
it), but building excitement for GA.

That sounds like the best idea to me. So if we had this lined up and
ready in advance for post-beta announcement, I think we could have the
greatest impact then too. Let's aim for that!

I've thought about the idea a bit since I think we discussed this in IRC
last week. I feel like it would be better to try doing this in a single
article versus splitting it up to each edition. I think it would be cool to
do an article for each edition, but at the same time, I feel like that could
create a lot of duplicate work and might be a delay in getting the article
out on time. So I think it would be best to aim for fitting all of the
different interviews, quotes, and news into a single article.

Ha, spoken like a grizzled editor, Justin! :-) I could go either way,
but I think your rationale here makes a lot of sense.

Okay, so let's shoot for a single, comprehensive article, and if we have
the time and resources to split them into three, we can do that as a
stretch goal for this.

Huiren, if you have any questions about getting started or writing the
article, let us know. :) Thanks!

The format for this could take on the form of Jiri's article a while ago
with email clients. I think the way his article looked and was organized is
very effective.

 https://fedoramagazine.org/email-clients-fedora/

I say you could start putting this draft together now and aim to have it
ready the weekend before the week of the beta announcement, just so we have
plenty of time to review the content and make sure it all checks out.

I'm huge +1 and thanks to both of you for great input.

+1 I've been trying to capture the words for my excitement with F24's soon
to be awesome release. I'm already planning local events for June.
Usability is there, we are continuing to "containerize ALL the things",
under the hood keeps getting better, etc. Usability is my key excitement;
because I can more easily share our Distribution. And sharing is what FOSS
