Yeah but how did this uneducated simpleton ex-convict wind up in Britain
with a forged Canadian passport unless he had aid from others?

probably wrong for the same reasons.

Okay, now explain how a bunch of Arabs, in caves or in sky-high
towers, whether stupids or geniuses, managed to put the whole of the
US air-security and air-defense systems out of operation on the
morning of 11/09/01?

SNAFUs or routine military bungling (which, believe me, abounds in the
military) could account for that.

A better question would be why NORAD's commander was promoted for his
screwup.

Hunter's impulses on this are just spot on.

I would add that Beckwith and other homicidal nut cases are trolling for
acceptability to gentlemen who created a climate that hardly discouraged
him or led him to think otherwise. He probably saw himself as the gutsiest
of those who shared a collective mind set, but that's not a conspiracy

As to 9-11

It's sad to note that every time something comes up, we get to here this
brilliant idea that because there seems to be a conspiracy in one case (with
different people in a different place and at a different time), there's
one--or likely to be one in the other. I fine it hard to believe that
anyone rational who thinks about it for more than a few seconds actually
believes something this stupid... However, the alternative explanation is
that they don't really believe something that stupid and are just saying it
because they have absolutely no interest in maintaining a rational
discussion of the issue that allegedly concerns them so much.

And, btw, I am storry to say that this is precisely the same reaction I have
to the conspiracy assertions of the teabaggers.

To which statements are you referring? I have never stated that there seems
to be a conspiracy in either case. And the logic behind the two claims is
virtually identical.

For a materialist, the question is one of evidence not logic. Not that I
even pretend to know what you mean by that...or what could possibly make the
logic of a different event in a different place involving different people
virtually identical.
