thanks guru sir for correcting the  error i made while comenting on finland 
education system (Ancient education system). and coming back to STF I 
always been with STF, whenever I sit before the system my first priority 
goes to STF. but I feel comenting on only some posts. I dont know why.

I do agree with u on bulk curriculum. I dont know when these people 
(Educationist) understand this problem and work on it.

 The Harvard education professor Howard Gardner once advised Americans,
 “Learn from Finland, which has the most effective schools and which does

 For five months, my wife, my son and I experienced a stunningly

in the early years, forcing writing/reading of large volume is quite
harmful to learning. if our children wont enjoy being in school how will
they want to learn ... in this respect government schools are often better
than many private schools which put too much competitive pressures on

Dear Aravind sir

wonderful article. can we maths teachers make our classes fun and
interesting to our students many times in high school, the pressures of
the current syllabus makes it very difficult for the teacher to make maths
meaningful for students.

I strongly believe that the current syllabus content load needs to be
reduced a lot so that students can meaningfully engage in learning.. and
enjoy the experience.

if we want to move from rote memory based learning to conceptual
understanding following constructivist principles, then the current
syllabus load must be reduced

request all maths teachers to read the article, a small excerpt below

"  So how might mathematics education be different? The way it is often
taught, children are asked to take a huge leap of faith: that the symbol
manipulation that seems pointless now will one day be useful to them. But
this is true for only a small minority of children, who enjoy the symbol
manipulation for its own sake and later find themselves drawn towards Stem

In an interview with the Chronicle of Higher Education

Edwards, the Virginia Tech professor who helped expose the Flint water
crisis, warned that public science is broken.

"I am very concerned about the culture of academia in this country and the
perverse incentives that are given to young faculty. The pressures to get
funding are just extraordinary. We're all on this hedonistic treadmill --
pursuing funding, pursuing fame, pursuing h-index -- and the idea of
science as a public good is being lost ... "

Recent scandals relating to this trend include Coca-Cola funded professors
who downplayed the link

between
diet and obesity, a climate-skeptic professor who described his scientific
papers as "deliverables
"
for
corporate funders, and documents obtained by my group US Right to Know that
reveal professors working closely with Monsanto to promote GMOs

without
revealing their ties to Monsanto.
