Job Description:•  Quickly prototype lo-fidelity HTML-based web experiences
to discover the best experiences with our design team
•  Stay current on latest web technologies and developments to deliver
delightful experiences for our internal and external customers
•  Recommend when to build from scratch and when to leverage third-party
frameworks
•  Implement robust telemetry systems to measure site performance and user
behavior
•  Determine scalability strategies and hardware/software requirements for
site designs
•  Build exciting web front-end experiences that cleanly integrate with
back-end services
•  Design and build scalable back-end services
•  Engage with community managers, designers, and marketing teams on the
best ways to make their designs a reality using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
among other tools
•  Identify, fix, and validate performance and accessibility issues with
sites that are live and in development
•  Uphold coding and design best practices to produce accessible,
cross-device, mobile-friendly, and responsive experiences
•  Leverage your experience with a broad range of technology stacks,
platforms and workflow tools to do your best work and teach others to do
the same



Job Requirements: •  3-5 years of experience in related position,
particularly in building large-scale community-focused sites
•  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent
experience
•
*Strong grasp of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery, including a demonstrated
expertise in the appropriate use of HTML5 and CSS3 in modern experiences on
the web•  Ability to develop web layouts using HTML and CSS that match
visual design intent while providing structure for application
functionality*
•  *Modern CSS techniques and pre-processors (SASS, SMACSS)*
•  Creating and implementing database schemas that represent and support
business processes
•  Cross-browser and cross-device development & testing
•  Visual design skills and understanding of UX principles and best
practices
•  Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills
•  Knowledge of software engineering practices required for working in
large groups, such as software development life cycles, coding standards,
code reviews, distributed revision control systems, continuous
test/build/deploy, and production support
