The position will work primarily within the Business Analytic's group, the Business Intelligence team in IT as well as external clients. Responsibilities include: - Perform in depth statistical analyses - Research *demand planning* business process strategies - Work with other Demand Planners to understand the requirements for forecasting tools - Write business process functional and technical design documents - Writing SAS code for production *forecasting* systems - Work with IT and others to resolve various process and technical issues - Produce high quality forecasts - Using standardized processes for generating *supply chain* recommendations create: - Production quantity estimates - Contingency production estimates - Case pack quantity estimates - Perform detailed post-analyses of forecast error and planning assumptions Required Skill Advanced SAS skills. 3+ years of use in a business environment. Some experience in providing fact-based guidance to business decision makers Familiarity with time series forecasting methodologies. Desirable skills Experience with retail Point-of-Sale or syndicated (Nielsen, IRI) data UNIX scripting Experience developing software for complex production environments Experience creating functional and technical business requirement documents.
