*Description: -*

*The Environment Manager is the responsible individual for keeping the
application testing environments running throughout the lifecycle of a
project.  This person not only executes basic tasks like code
builds/deploys and application management but also oversees most of the
steps that a software release follows from development to deployment to
production. The position entails working closely with developers, quality
assurance, business and production support teams and offers broad latitude
to work independently and exert a substantial degree of influence over the
software development process. *



*Job Role: - *

·         *Execute application builds, identify, troubleshoot and help
resolve source control issues/problems. *

·         *Manage and compile application code; Maintain FST (Functional
System Testing)*

·         *Apply proposed configuration changes *

·         *Support functional testing with valid FST environments*

·         *Build and deploy releases to FST environments*

·         *Apply proposed configuration changes *

·         *Build and deploy releases to FST environments *

·         *Support functional testing with valid FST environments *

·         *Perform and manage application version management. *

·         *Work with Build/CM Engineer and software developers to
establish, maintain and enforce SCM policies and procedures for the entire
software development lifecycle. *

·         *Work closely with development teams to help with bug tracking,
release and documentation control issues*

·         *Oversee processes related to releasing and deploying new
versions of software. *

·         *Work closely with QA teams to determine suitability of software
release for deployment. *

·         *Coordinate resolution of bugs with QA and development teams. *

·         *Communicate risks and develop mitigation strategies with
business leaders. *

·         *Ensure the application integrity while components are moved from
environment to environment. -Track and report on deployment metrics. *

·         *Create deployment artifacts *

·         *Documentation of configuration changes for each release (Release
Script). *

·         *Short-interval-schedule for each deployment.*



*Technical skills essential for this assignment: *

·         *BS in CS/MIS or equivalent experience *

·         *7+years of IT-Related experience. *

·         *2+ years development experience. *

·         *2+ years’ experience in a role support web-based applications. *

·         *The candidate should have demonstrated experience in: software
development processes, project management, application architectures,
software productivity enhancement alternatives, software testing
methodologies, software change management, configuration management
processes, problem-solving and resolution, Strong verbal and written
communication skills. Strong people management and consensus building
skills, Strong organizational and time management skills, Able to work
extended hours when needed to help meet project deadlines, *



*Candidate should be conversant with the following: *

·         *J2EE Architecture *

·         *Tools for managing software development repositories (i.e. CVS
or Subversion) *

·         *Tools for controlling the changes (CVS, Subversion etc.)*

·         *SQL (preferably Oracle) *

·         *UNIX scripting and associated tools for automated software
builds*

·         *Solaris and Linux Operation Systems usage*

·         *Knowledge of the following is desirable: Weblogic Application
Server (or equivalent), ATG, Subversion, Ant, Adobe AEM/CQ, Java, html,
jsp, js*
