hello,
I am pleased to announce a bunch of releases from the Choria project.
While upgrading please take special care, as noted in previous emails
there are slight backward compatibility issues with this release.
Specifically:
* An old Client can communicate with new Servers but a new Client
cannot communicate with an old Server. If you need to retain the
ability to manage machines using MCollective during the update please
keep your client machines for last
* All unmanaged configuration in server.cfg, client.cfg etc will be
lost. The entire configuration is now managed using a template.
The breaking change to the protocol should hopefully be one of the last
before I start releasing things like a new *choria* binary that will
have it's own Broker and Federation Broker builtin and eventually
replace *mcollectived* with this same binary.
Special thanks to Luke Bigum, Robin Bowes, Daniel Helgenberger, Jos
Houtman and Mateusz Gozdek for their contributions to these releases!
