Tidak, akan tetapi kalau menjalankan upgrade dengan benar (langsung

ini.
Namun barusan saya lihat settingannya tidak seperti instruksi pada tautan di 
atas.


Apakah setiap kali upgrade versi MDaemon, maka setting (security) akan 
kembali ke default lagi?

Ya, dan itu adalah dampak dari MDaemon Anda tidak melakukan penyeleksian
terhadap sender host.

Kalau sender host dan sender domain tidak diperiksa "legalitasnya" di
level SMTP (sebelum masuk ke queue) maka mail dari "preman internet"
(spammer) memang mudah masuk.
Verifikasi setelah mail masuk ke queue akurasinya rendah, karena spammer
jaman ini umumnya melakukan pemalsuan alamat (address/domain spoofing),
akan lebih baik tidak diresponse melainkan cukup di hapus (delete and
silent).

Dengan demikian pilihan Anda ada 2:

Oh masih pakai MD dibawah versi 13.x, modul spamassassin diversi itu
memang masih kerepotan kalau mail envelope dan body text nya pakai
character set UTF-8 atau double byte character set yang umum dipakai di
negara CJK (Chinese, Japanese, Korean), banyak false postive (salah duga).
Untuk mengurangi salah duga macam itu perlu melakukan banyak
pengecualian (whitelist).

Tindakan lain, perbaiki setting antispam content filternya, ikuti yang

[MDaemon-L] Mengapa postmaster selalu mengirim email yang sia-sia sehingga gagal?

Selamat pagi Pak Syafril,

Hampir setiap hari saya menerima report seperti di bawah ini.

Jika saya tidak salah menganalisa, Postmaster saya selalu mengirimkan email ke 
recipient yang macam-macam, dan oleh smarthost dinyatakan tidak terkirim atau 
gagal.

Mengapa postmaster melakukan hal demikian (mengirim ke recipient yang 
macam-macam)?. Bukankah ini “pekerjaan postmaster” yang sia-sia? Dan hanya 
menambah pekerjaan Mail server serta menjadi boros transfer rate? Mohon 
solusinya.

Tidak direkomendasi kalau server itu didekasikan untuk menjalankan
MDaemon dan tidak juga (atau terkadang) dipakai untuk menjalankan

MDaemon hanya jalan di windows OS, boleh saja di windows workstation.

Pakai yang 64 bit agar RAM yang ada (4 GB atau lebih) bisa dimanfaatkan oleh 
MDaemon.
OS 32 bit hanya bisa memanfaatkan 3 GB RAM saja.

mengaktifkan fitur BES atau activesync atau Mail Archive akan butuh RAM lebih 
banyak.

Itu artinya tidak ada new message, kalau ada new message pop3 client
akan kirim command LIST diteruskan dengan RETR (retrieve) mail.

By doing this, you're shooting yourself in the foot twice over. First of
all, people following a thread don't want to see unrelated messages
cropping up in the middle of it. The most complacent will just delete
your message without reading it, others will killfile you, some having
complained to you asking you to learn how to post. Secondly, those who
aren't interested in the hijacked thread and who have set their programs
to ignore it won't even see your message.

If you want to start a new thread then use your mailer's/newsreader's
"New Message" function. This will start a fresh thread of your own
without any traces of previous threads.

Itu karena Anda pakai koneksi yang lewat cascade (load balance) proxy
server, sehingga IP yang digunakan saat terhubung (connect) ke MDaemon
berubah-ubah.
Non aktifkan "IP persistent check" di worldclient webmail akan mengatasi
hal ini.

Yang multi processor dan multi core lebih baik.
RAM lebih besar, lebih baik.
