Umm, they all do that? I believe R134a conversions are
particularly prone to this, since they're something like
80% as effective as compared to when filled with the

 Dimitri.
Not this Sunday but next, I'll still be in NC on Sunday driving back Sun/Mon.
Speedi-Bleed is a pressure bleeding kit with reservoir and a cap for German
 m/cyl fill ports.
Note:- check the rubber nubbies over the level sensors, I blew fluid all over
because they had perished and failed.

Fred, is the Speedi-Bleed a pressure or vacuum bleeder? I have a motive
pressure bleeder I received as a gift some years ago. I haven't really used
 it yet.
Will you be around this Sunday to meet up?

Re: [MBZ] ML320 reset engine codes

2013-03-05 Thread Benz Hogs
It is an EGR code and the light has been off for over 3,000mi. I have
to get the ML emissions tested and their test looks for old codes that
haven't been cleared...these will fail the test. ^@ IL! Oh, and if
your vehicle fails, it must be repaired AND signed off by a mechanic
that's paid his dues to the state of IL. They say this is because
emissions faults are hard to diagnose and you might not fix it
correctly if you do your own work. What a pot of feces.

I was resetting the EGR system error code with a cheap ODB-II reader in the

Does it just require the OBDII reader or does this require the full SDS

Oh, and in one respect IL is not as bad as they used to be. Their
state POTrol used to sit at the state line and pull over every truck
they could. Stick you for a big fine for not having an IL inspection
on your truck licensed and owned out of state. Even pickups. Fines
equivalent to $500 to $1000 in today's inflated $.

See, you had to have an IL inspection on your pickemup just to drive
a mile into IL and go home. Somewhere along the line they reeled in
the fuzz on that one, so its better now.

The only way out was if you had an appt at the closest insp station.
Johnny law would usually escort you there to make sure you didn't
stop for an ice cream along the way. That was a lot of business for
the stateline insp stations.
