It's toast unless you can re-establish the emulsion.  Mix the crap out of it 
and see if the pigments stay suspended, and do a test patch.

Latex paints can separate pretty badly but still work if well mixed, but if the 
"solid" portion will not re-emulisfy, the water froze out and the paint then 
polymerized, and it's junk.

Some freeze better than others, I found that out last year when the garage got 
too cold (I was disabled most of the winter with a broken ankle).  Had to toss 
some, it hardened in the can.

[MBZ] OT frozen paint

I was given a 5 gal bucket of latex paint that has been thoroughly 
frozen.   The bottom part with pigment is trash, but I was wondering if 
the top, liquid fraction might be usable as a clear coating on 
something, or might be useful for something else?


Any good info or ideas?

Yes as a kid I sat on my grandfather's  lap as he drove his 1939 John Deere
model B. Once he got it going  he pulled the lever to switch it over from
gas to kerosene. I used to love to see the cloud of black smoke as  kero
kicked in.

have trucks that were multifuel.   The early IH Diesel started on 
Gasoline and ran on diesel.  Pre WWII tractors had a small tank for 
starting on Benzin and then ran on kerosene.  Those are the  only 
practical multi-fuel vehicles I am aware of, unless you get into wood 
gas or coal gas generation to run a vergasser, but that is very bulky.

to the agreement. It’s mostly old news, much of which is dated well before 2015 
and substantiated elsewhere.

While I wouldn’t trust these guys any farther than I could throw them, keeping 
them on a leash and within range of the IAEA is far better that not having any 
visibility into what they’re doing at all.

Apparently a 2-3 only mode is pretty common in these, and often an easy fix.
But, this is a PARTS truck, and that part I don't need!

Lots of room under the hood, even with a V10 in it.  Runs rougher than
you'd think,
but this V10 is not symmetrical, unlike Ford's.  Much simpler and more
robust
as a result.  It's a pushrod engine, so it ought to be fairly durable over
time.
(Simple timing chain, like on an I6, but much shorter.)

I fiddled with the lights to get them all working, so as to avoid the
bulls.I made a new
interior door pull out of a section of alternator belt from a Mercedes, and
got the spare
tire hung back in place.  This truck is THRASHED compared to how mine was,
which
was like new, inside and out.

Then I filled the bed with bicycles and recycling.  Got a truck again,
might as well use it...

They don’t “quit working”, the automatic down/up feature just has to be reset, 
that’s all. Using the button by simply holding it down still does the job.

As for the “drop” feature, it’s used in the convertibles so that everything 
seals tightly.  The windows still seal, but the weatherstrip gets beat up if it 
doesn’t work.

In the W140 chassis you get the window drop feature as well. If it doesn’t 
work, you have to slam the doors as the cabin is so well sealed.

My '96 Dakota got stuck in 1st at one point. I put in half a quart of the Lucas 
magic transmission stuff and ran it around until it got warm and which point 
the other gears came back. Ran it for a couple more days and put in a clean 
fill of M1 ATF (and new filter) and it was good for another 50,000 miles...

Back in the 80s, when all the mail order stores sold Bilstein HD, we just 
thought all the aftermarket Bilsteins rode like buckboards. 
The hot setup for a Saab 99 was to order a set from the dealer for a Bilstein 
equipped model like a EMS or Turbo. But that cost more than twice as much as a 
set of HDs from Performance Motors or Trollhatten Motors. I thought the 
aftermarket shocks were valved way too stiff, didn't realize that the 
aftermarket importers were only bringing in the HD versions.

The “auto down” feature.  You know, hit the button once and the window goes 
down completely without holding down the button.  If you disconnect the power 
this feature stops working.  You have to run the windows up and hold the button 
down for like 10 seconds to reset it.

On the convertibles it also resets the auto drop feature, which drops the 
windows down about 1/4” when the door is opened so the weatherstripping seals 
against the top when you close the door.  Close the door, window goes up and 
engages the weatherstripping.
