Supposedly the car that saved Chrysler, K-car and its many derivatives,
including the Caravan.

In 1981, the US FWDs were the Escort/Lynx, Omni/Horizon,
Citation/Omega/Skylark/Phoenix, and Eldorado/Toronado. And, since gas hit
$1/gallon around 1980/81, the K cars were more popular with frugal drivers
than Grenadas and Malibus.

Dan's Horizons had 1.7L VW engines. I believe the K-Car's 2.2L became an
option in 1982, standard feature in 1987. Shortly before the Omni/Horizon
became 2.2L only, they dropped the 1.7L VW for a 1.6L Peugeot. I'd bet
Peugeot engined Plymouths are uber rare these days, probably easier to
find a US titled Pontiac Firefly than a 1.6L Horizon.

Mitch.

Yes, although there was front wheel drive with Chrysler before the K car. My
Mom and Dad both had “Horizon” models in the early 80s that were FWD. Mom’s was
a four door sedan, Dad’s was a two door “TC3” which was their “sporty” model.

What's not to love? Read these BAT comments:

"I certainly hope this goes for more than $4,900; excuse me, $4,901 this
time around. @CaptainMyCaptain
, your comments are
always fun to read, and this one especially so. I’m not in the market for a
new; er different, car at the present time, and the Aries K was never on my
radar; but for heaven’s sake, if anyone has priced a used car of any age
these days, how could you possibly not consider this one?

It’s simple, not a lot of gadgets to break, roomy enough for the whole
family and even a couple small pets for that Sunday afternoon cruise to the
beach for sun and fun, and is a champ when it comes to fuel consumption!
What more could you ask for?"

"Ever since I saw this last time on BAT I have been thinking how the K-Car
and this one in particular symbolize a moment in the early 1980’s: brave
new thinking and a public eager to embrace it. Cars that were exciting and
different. It’s easy to scoff at their performance or their looks or their
size. But realize this was a watershed moment in American car design. I
love this little car. GLWTA"

About ten years ago I bought the cheapest dishwasher they had at lowers.  About
$200?  KitchenAid, all plastic.  Dirt simple.  Works great as long as you don't
over load it.  No issues once I worked through a bad pump and a dead control
board.  It was a factory repaired model that I bought for $100 with no
warranty, after buying the parts to fix it I was back at the original cost,
should have just bought the new one.

A double dish drawer?
Those can be problematic, especially when some fool puts stuff in them
that's too tall and prevents the internal lid from sealing.
I bought one with an error code for a leak, the other drawer was supposed
to work fine.

Then I bought a parts washer that was missing the front sheet metal.
I later learned the one that was 'missing parts' was really a model that
was made for custom install, your cabinetmaker is supposed to build a
front for it to match your cabinets. So the whole dishwasher project is on
hold until I get around to redoing the base cabinets, until then I've got
the Mitch washer. It's not that big of a deal now that there's just one of
me.
I do a sinkful of dishes every night, put them in a drainer, and they're
dry by breakfast.
