You can get a Bluetooth (or Aux) to FM adapter so that you can tune the car radio to an unused frequency and play music from the device. They are maybe $20. [MBZ] More on old iPods and car electronics
I have been trying to figure out how to get tunes to play through the sound system in the 211 05E320 wagon and the 163 05ML500. The wagon has some sort of aftermarket Bluetooth unit that does not seem to work. Something similar looks to be About $200. Research suggested the wagon might have an aux port sorta hidden in the glovebox. I found it! Plugged in the old iPod using a cable with dual plug ends, hit the AUX button and tunes emerged! YAY me! I ordered an adapter for my newer iFōn with a lightning port so I can use the cable on it too, and a coupla 30pin USB cables to power the iPods while playing. Have not looked at the ML yet but I think it might not have a similar provision. It appears that there are hardware hacks in the head unit electronics to patch in a similar plug Through the but that’s too much work. --FT Sent from iPhone ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com

Re: [MBZ] OT: Doomsday in MA
It started right on schedule too, they said noon and when I looked outside at lunch it had started. We got downgraded, at one point they were saying max of 17" for us, now more like 14 max, I guess the storm moved off east a little. Its pretty cold so the snow is mostly dry and fluffy, supposed to warm up a little tomorrow, maybe the last of it will be heavier. From a trail grooming perspective I'd like that but as a home owner I guess I better get right out tomorrow morning and clean the driveway while its still cold. -Curt On Monday, February 1, 2021, 1:18:02 PM EST, Andrew Strasfogel via Mercedes wrote: *Today's storm is moving right on schedule — some parts of Mass. could see 18 inches of snow* Today’s storm system is currently moving right on schedule, with snow moving through the area before a main thrust of heavier bands this afternoon. Been borderline freezing with alternating rain/snow here for the past week. About 2" of mushy snow on the ground right now. Saw a car off the road last night during a snow squall. 4 patrol cars, a fire truck, a recovery truck, and an ambulance in attendance. Seemed a big response for a car in the ditch but maybe it was worse than it appeared.
