That may be a diagnostic mode telling you that there is a problem in the system. Just noticed today on the W116 300SD that the glow plug lamp does not shut off after 10-15 seconds as it normally does (did). It does shut off when I start the car however. So timer has failed? Is this servicable? Or replace? Yeah I was thinking that in 10 years I can buy it cheap Traffic has not been much worse than usual amazingly enough. All of it goes past my driveway though They limited tix to 20k unlike last time it was 20k+. The traffic then was awful. I have had my windows open since the weather has been so nice and I could hear vehicles on the road all night long, hauling in supplies I guess. It’s usually quite quiet.
