The Aussies have something like 3% vax rate and maybe 51 deaths. Granted, nobody can move around the country with all the lock downs, and only the celebrities are allowed to fly in, while the citizens stranded outside are not able to find a flight home. It is dead of winter down under, up here we have raging wildfires that are probably causing more respirator issues that can be linked to WRD. Re: [MBZ] Red death
I haven't been paying much attention to the statistics but we do have a building number of cases. Interestingly if you go back a year there was a bump right around this time with, interestingly, around the same number of cases per day. If the trend repeats we should be seeing the peak soon and be out of it by the beginning of August. OTOH if you look at the number of deaths per day has been in steady decline since the middle of February, we've just come over a small bump but it looks like a return to decreasing numbers. Honestly if more people in California, Florida and Texas would just get vaccinated and maybe stay home a little more this "problem" wouldn't be. Those three states really skew the numbers for the rest of us. Although I talked to a guy from Australia last week, they have the lowest vaccination rate in the developed world. They are NOT pleased with their health service. -Curt On Wednesday, July 21, 2021, 7:38:31 PM EDT, Kaleb Striplin via Mercedes wrote: The media is getting the fear going again and j bet we are fixing to be locked down again. Re: [MBZ] It’s hitting the fan
I guess that makes sense but that hadn't occurred to me. Is it still possible to buy an "individual" plan from a local agent? I had that when I worked for a company that didn't offer an employer plan. It was fairly reasonable in cost, notably it did not cover maternity but that was no longer an issue for my family. I was even able to set it up so that the company made the payments, witheld from my salary pre-tax. Did that all go away with ACA?
