[MBZ] 2011 Bluetec ML 350 SUV
I had a look at this yesterday and took a test drive. There were no serious issues with the vehicle, but decided to pass on it. Very minor flaws include some paint damage where the roof meets the ps doors, and a small dent in the driver's door. I have no interest in this other than the seller is extremely nice and seems quite honest. [MBZ] Speaking of shops for Classic MB
A while back we were discussing shops for classic MBs and I think I said something about an old German guy in Tulsa. My grandmother used to take her cars to him. Kind of a grumpy old guy. Back thru the 80’s and early 2000s there were 5 shops in the area that specialize in classic euro cars with 3 of those only working on MB. A few years back the old German guy had to move to a new location due to the highway widening. On occasion when in the area I would drive by his place to see what all cool old MBs were out front. I can’t remember the last time I was by there but it has been within the last year. Yesterday I was driving by where he is located so pulled down his street and discovered his shop was replaced by a run of the mill every car shop. Figuring the old guy must have finally died, google told me that was the case. He died back in July. That leaves on 1 classic MB shop in town but I think in reality they actually work on the newer cars. I should wish I knew about this last year as perhaps some specialized tools and equipment could have been purchased. Not sure what they did will all that stuff but probably got sold or thrown away.
