Ozone cleaner may help, or just airing out the room really well. Can you open 
windows and is it in an areas safe enough to leave them open for a few days? 
Carpets may need to be steam cleaned.

You don’t need a large one. I’ve got one I picked up on FBM recently and it 
could easily do a room sized area. Check with your local equipment rental 
places for them. I needed one when we cleared out the Flagstaff house (casita) 
and it was all musty smelling. It’s 300 square feet with a tall ceiling due to 
the sloped roof. The one I rented cost me $50 for a day (24 hours) and I fired 
it up and let it run overnight, which was probably overkill.

Sometimes you have to hit stuff twice, but you won’t know until you air it out 
and let things settle for a day or two. Most of the time one good treatment 
will do the job.

Set it up on a table or something that will keep it off the floor. Start it up 
and leave the room. I’ve used painter’s tape to seal the gap around the door if 
it’s in a house that’s occupied, as you don’t want ozone leaking out into the 
house. It’s not good to breathe it. When you’re done, open all the 
doors/windows/openings to clear out the ozone. Don’t hang around, let it air 
out.

If it's free, it's might be worth picking up for scrap. You'll need a 
commercial/heavy wrecker truck to tow it.

Probably has a detroit diesel engine, I think those are pretty straightforward 
to work on but you'll also almost certainly have to repair/replace the air 
suspension and brakes, maybe tires and wheel bearings. Plan on 5 figures to get 
it roadworthy, then sky is the limit for kitting it out as you desire.

So $3.33/qt in qt bottles and $3.20/qt in jugs.

I forget which version of Dexos 1 it's certified under.

Last I checked, Mobil One was Gen 2 (2018 standard) Dexos, not Gen 3.
Gen 3 Dexos is more stringent than GF-6 or API-SP, but now that 
everything is SP, all oil is pretty good, at least when it's fresh from 
the bottle.

I remember looking at a $1000 Corolla I ended up deciding wasn't worth 
tossing a $500 offer at. A month or two later, a friend wants me to help 
him look at a $2000 Corolla. After we wait a while, the aforementioned 
$1000 Corolla rolls up, and I can plainly hear they haven't even fixed 
the exhaust since they bought it from the $1000 seller.


My friend was confused as to why I said the appraisal was done before 
they got out of the car, even after I explained to him that I already 
looked at that POS once and passed on it for half the price.

Car was first listed at $220 with a transmission problem, won’t shift past 2nd. 
A few days later price is $1800 and had a spark issue with a misfire. Now it’s 
$4000 with a spark issue but no mention of transmission problems.
