No there was a Panamera in my buddy Todd’s shop that needed one like yesterday. 
$700 from the stealer, $350 or so from FCPE, $250 from chifa but takes a couple

[MBZ] 2016 E350 4M with twennytoos pimp wheels and rubber bands $1500

Was at my buddy Todd’s shop today collecting the 07E350 which now appears to 
have a bad starter after getting the ECU sorted out. Someone had got in there 
and somehow programmed it to think it was a V8. He gave me a good starter he 
had kicking around somewhere on a parts shelf. It’s a bugger to replace. So 
that needs to be done to get it running. Bah. 

Anyway he had this 2016 E350 sitting there that needs a new front diff. He 
replaced a rear driveshaft and some other stuff and the bill was $1400. The guy 
doesn’t have the money. He quoted $8k to replace the diff ($300 unit) because 
it’s a huge PITA to swap and he didn’t want to deal with it. He asked me if I 
wanted it for $1500, he just wants it out of there. The wheels are probably 
worth that to the right buyer. I said sure. He’s gotta get the title for it so 
might take a bit. Anyway it’s a little rough on the exterior but could be worth 
a fair amount if repaired or even parted out.

high value stuff gets handled with great care.
I think it's like a grand or something. Most folks don't insure past the

I have asked around for suggestions on what to do about my eBay/UPS
situation and have been told maybe going to the local UPS and talking
with the fellow in charge might help or taking UPS to small claims court.

Do you fellows have any other suggestions? Or maybe encouragement in what

I bought an FJC R-134A dye/oil injector from an eBay seller at a very
good price, as shown in the first picture.

The seller shipped it via UPS.

UPS damaged the box, as shown in the second picture, and the smaller of
the two pieces which make up the injector fell out.

I contacted the UPS Damage Exception group at 1-800-742-5877 about the
damage and sent in the pictures they requested.

I contacted the seller via eBay's messaging system. The seller responded,
"Oh my. I'm sorry to hear this. I appreciate you contacting us. If
nothing gets resolved for you please let us know."

I contacted UPS some days later to find out what was going on and found
they had approved my claim a few days after I submitted it. They said
they had sent the seller some paperwork to fill out and when they
received it back, they would process the claim and issue the payment.
They apparently want the number of the account which sent the package.

I then again contacted the seller via eBay's messaging system and wrote,

Dear bluebutterfly81522,

I just called the UPS Damage Exception Group at 1-800-651-2352.
They said the claim was approved on 06 July. They said they are
waiting for you to fill out and send them the documents so they
can process and send out the reimbursement.

Are you able to fill out their documents and send the documents
to them?

When might you be able to do that?

I heard nothing. I called UPS; they heard nothing. I asked, "What happens
if the seller never returns the forms?" The lady replied, "Then the claim
will never be processed."

I then asked eBay to step in and help. Unfortunately, it was now after
the 30 days, so they would not refund my purchase price. I even went
through the "Report a Seller for a policy violation" process, and eBay
replied they had my report and would take care of things.

Several days ago, they sent me an email saying there had been no action
on my report, so they were closing it. I suspect the seller did not reply
to them.

So now what should I do?

Though the seller arranged with UPS for shipment, I was the one whose
payment initiated the process. It seems to me, then, UPS should be
obligated to make me whole because they were the ones who damaged the box
and lost the small part of the product, but they are very hard to contact
and the people at the Damage Exception department are not helpful.

I was thinking about one of these today. The price is consistent with the 
current market. That much more in mods could get close to 1300hp which would be 
quite entertaining. 

Maybe when I get my house sold and a shed built…
