leaks, distributor ignition (distributors are prone to collect moisture in 
caps, poor running), and other, less critical concerns.

Unless I fell into a hella deal on one or had one gifted to me, I wouldn’t buy 
a 1995 or earlier W140.

It is my understanding that bus/motorcoach could not be registered in
California because it uses the Detroit 8V71 two stroke diesel engine and
can NOT be made to pass strict California emissions.. Thus, California
would refuse to title  or register and license it.

I figured that was the case, in that a private operator was not required to 
have a CDL. Too bad.

I mentioned the requirements as my oldest son has a CDL that he got several 
years ago on his own, which, if he had been in AZ, wouldn’t have been possible. 
It appears that the only way you can get one in AZ now is if you have passed a 
state-approved course.

My understanding is that a bus converted and registered as an "RV" does not 
need a CDL to drive. It also doesn't need to pass annual DOT inspections, which 
is where the problems come in. Owners often don't maintain them like they 
should, and that's how expensive problems start. Even if they try, it's hard 
for them to find competent mechanics to work on them. Most of the people who 
know how to work on buses work for bus operators.

know in AZ you can’t get a CDL without taking a sanction training class now.

Airbags did come out above both passenger doors and I it came out on 
passengers rear door. Car does have a clean clear title in my name. Who 
ever buys it can fix and drive or use as a parts car. To fix you could 
probably do away with the bags that came out put a windshield passenger 
finder and side skirt and rear bumper and drive it. It runs and drives 
right now just wouldn’t recommend it with the windshield smashed the way 
it is.
