Well WILTON,  even that could be tempting since I have lusted after a w211
CDI  for years.  But I just can't bring g myself to part with my 124 300D
2.5t. Has 263 k miles original engine & tranny  (mobil 1). It has been so
faithful for commuting last 10 1/2 years.

I am kind of amazed by how much I like the 124 wagon, even lowered on sport
springs with stiff shocks and Lord knows how many miles.  It is a very
solid car. The 123 wagon always feels sort of squishy by comparison.
