Maybe he could try some OSRAM Night Breaker plus? No experience with
them personally. In my limited online research, some say they're
improved over the Silverstars. YMMV.

The only other option would be to trade/sell it & find another R320 with
the factory Bi-Xenon lighting package option. There are various
aftermarket xenon kits, but won't be steering linked or have the auto
leveling of the factory setup.
