Re: [MBZ] 1973 280 on BAT

The seller didn’t say a thing - literally! It didn’t meet reserve.

Add to that they had a $399 dealer’s fee, too. I hate that.

We purchased a dark blue 1973 280 in 1982 for $4700 and sold it a year
later for $4850. Took it on long trips to Ohio and had no issues. Moved
up to a 1976 W115 300D with PW, an aux. fuel tank in the trunk, and a

Re: [MBZ] 1973 280 on BAT - diamond in the rough?

2016-10-20 Thread Andrew Strasfogel via Mercedes
Bidding is up to $4000 - ends today.

By way of comparison, I sold my blue/blue 1973 280 for $4850 back in 1983
after driving it for a year (same options - no s/r and crank windows) to a
US diplomat heading abroad. I doubt the bids will reach $5k.

[MBZ] 1973 280 on BAT - diamond in the rough?

2016-10-14 Thread Andrew Strasfogel via Mercedes
This is the same exact car (except mine was blue) as my first Mercedes. No
S/R or PW.

Looks like this could be stolen by a cagey bidder. No rust and good
overall condition.
