Kleb should be able to sell you a line unless you can find one closer to home you can pickup today. The important thing with lines is that there should be NO tension on them when you tighten them down, and the anti-vibration clamps have to be in place. If you change the injection timing,, you will need to bend the lines so that they fit. One trick I use on the 61x lines is to slip a 17 mm box wrench over the nut and then use it as a lever and fulcrum to bend the line in place. It also needs to lay close enough to the line next to it so that the clamp will not put stress on it. One other trick is to get the line close, snug the 2 nuts and then ben the line slightly down and up, or into position for the clamp. after doing this, when you loosen the nuts, the line will usually lay right in place so there is no tension on it. The clamp fell off and must of allowed enough vibration (check those clamps for tightness lest you pay) I limped home on three cylinders. Does anyone have a spare set of thes fuel lines they are willing to let go? Let me know please. Car is down until I get one. Really just need one to #4 cylinder with the square clamp and 8mm nut and bolt. Re: [MBZ] 1979 240D, Blown Injector Line!!
60x lines like on you 190D are totally different than ones on the older 61x engines. The older, bigger lines hardly ever break. I wouldn't go with a used one unless you can get one thats local so you can have it quick. Rusty can set you up with 'em cheaper than the dealer can although it takes a few days. -Curt __ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
