I think the W211s are pretty solid, but I only speak from the experience of owning a single example, my 2004 E500 sedan. The common trouble spots seem to be the airmatic suspension, the SBC pump (not sure which years specifically, but may be still be covered under warranty by MB?) and I've read about a problem with the radiators on the earlier model years where they can leak coolant into the trasmission cooler. Everyone’s going to the movies… Bad sneakers? Donald Fagen and Michael McDonald? I was just listening to the theme song from the movie “FM” the other day in the car. Remember that? The last time we saw them, back in the ’teens, Walter was still alive and was touring, but he didn’t look good - Donald and Michael were there, too. I need the front piece under the drivers seat and I haven’t been able to locate it in black yet. The carpets were atrocious. Every time I’d run the extractor over it, it comes out looking like regular coffee or chocolate milk.
