[MBZ] 200D engine and trans going quick
I don't think anyone else on here has a 200D anymore. I am partial to putting a OM616 in to the 110 chassis anyway. I have plenty of OM 621 parts. Anyone else need this? Generator engine? Ed B. needs this for when he finally gets his hands on a 1970 S class car On Monday, February 13, 2006, at 05:54 PM, Loren Faeth wrote: I don't think anyone else on here has a 200D anymore. I don't think anyone else on here has a 200D anymore. I do! But it (Frankenheap) is a 115. This is the 'core' engine from a replacement, no details given. -- Jim
Re: [MBZ] 200D engine and trans going quick
Anyone else need this? Generator engine? Speaking of that, I've got another generator project germinating, and am keeping an eye out for a perfect donor car. Probably a 190D with slushbox is best, because I'm after run-time economy, and quietness under low loads, and the generator is a 6-pole 1200 RPM job. I was just thinking of using the cruise actuator to run the motor and let the tranny do its shifting thing however it wants to. I'm unsure if a 2.2 will cut it, but surely a 2.5 would. I'm betting the 2.2 would be fine. Now I just have to find one like the last one I bought: $350 (though the tranny was dead). -- Jim

Yeah, but you have a 615 engine, not a 621, don't you? I think it would all fit anyway. At 12:08 AM 2/14/2006, you wrote: I don't think anyone else on here has a 200D anymore. I do!
