That engine must have been asleep, I used to drive 300hp trucks with 39 tonnes and it took nowhere near two and half miles. I'm pretty sure it wasn't generating 300 hp anymore. And that truck had a 7-speed, one-range transmission. Truck gross weight was 79700 lb [36151 kg], as I recall.
