According to an Atom owner I spoke to at a DE event last year here in Seattle, the car is imported without a drivetrain which comes along later. Therefore, it's a kit car. The driver is open to the elements and if it isn't the wind, it's the rain. Eminently impractical. R Ellingson

You want practical transportation? Get a bike. The bicycle is the most efficient mode of transportation known to man *and* you're exposed to the elements just like in the Atom. You want efficient automobile transportation? You're probably looking at a 2 year old Lexus ES300 or Honda BlahBlah. You want something that puts a smile on your face? Buy an Atom or a Colnago C40 or a 15 year old Mercedes! :) Lee
