I set up a Google Voive phone number for Craigslist. It allows me to block anyone that I do not want to hear from anymore. There's sort of an unwritten rule that listings with a local phone number are less likely to be scams. I was certain I'd read this in the CL how to avoid scams at one point, along with the only deal with local people you can meet face-to-face but it's not there now. Hello, I'm looking for a car for a colleague and saw a 1979 or 80 SD for sale nearby on CL. It had been posted my times. The posting has since expired, so I can't call the seller.
