What controls enrichment on boost (or defueling when off boost) in a 606
turbo?

Could it just be betting full boost fuel before getting full boost air?

[MBZ] Diesel black smoke

2021-06-16 Thread Kaleb Striplin via Mercedes
It’s been a while since I have dealt with this so I have forgotten the
particulars of this issue. My 99 seems to have wisps of black/grey smoke at
idle and when under hard acceleration can put out some black smoke. A 606
should have no smoke. It’s not rolling coal but if you suddenly downshift hard
it can throw out a good cloud. Anyway, is this usually injector nozzles that
need to be replaced or IP timing?
