Re: [MBZ] Difference between Vacuum Repair Kits W123

Thanks for the tip,

I am sorry that it has taken me a week to followup but I broke my thumb
whch has slowed my computer work down.

Don't drop a 120lb power supply battery on your thumb.

:)

On bimby, there is two vaccum pump repair kits listed, one with rocker
arm and the other with valve? This is a 1985 300CD.

For mine, I did not get the rocker arm kit. Just the kit with the new
internal piston seal, the cover gasket, and internal check valves.

Note that if yours is like mine, there is a check valve inside the
pipe adapter fitting where the main vacuum line connects to the pump.
Once I had mine open, the pieces of the check valve fell out, and I
think this might have been my problem all along. So, you might want
to remove that and check it before you order anything -- just unscrews
from the pump body so it would be quick to check.

[MBZ] Difference between Vacuum Repair Kits W123

2008-06-27 Thread Smith, Todd
After the recent discussions about vacuum pump repair, my daily driver
died so in order for the wife to keep her daily driver then my project
vehicle has to run better. I have had some vacuum issues for a while
but it now seems to be the time to correct them.
