I find it real hard to believe it really got that mileage. Would be real curious what it is hand calculated. About the best our GL will get us around 22-23 and it’s not bluetec. A e class CDI might get that. I have heard those trip computers are sometimes optimistic. If it really did get that mileage that would be amazing. Hopefully it did and I am wrong. [MBZ] First Long Trip in 2012 ML-350 BT
Well I took my first real long trip in my newish ML that I got back in January. Drove it down to Mt. Pleasant, SC outside of Charlestown from the Northeast side of Cincinnati. Distance was approximately 670 miles. I was amazed that the average miles per gallon displayed was 35.6 MPG, with over a 21 gallon tank I didn't have to stop for fuel and could go an estimated 80-90 miles before having to refill the tank. Used cruise control most of the time with a top cruise speed of 73 MPH. The ride and drive was very easy in the ML, ride it still a bit stiff but comfortable and a lot more comfortable than the 2004 BMW X3 that I had. The seats aren't as nice as what is in my 2002 BMW 5 series. I wonder if there are better seats in the GL series that could be swapped into the ML. Just thought this would be an interesting tidbit.
