Well, If I was able to swap my car for a 300SD in comparable condition, I might be prepared to do so, but apart from that, I think I am quite happy to keep what I have. New cars are much too complicated. I like my simple old car, and barring any bad luck, I should be able to drive it for the rest of my days. Rising values (assuming that is happening) are not a bad thing. Hopefully, that will prevent more from being scrapped and sold for parts. Repairing rougher vehicles may be worthwhile if the values are high enough. I would need to touch up a few things cosmetically to make it look as good but my car is really very good. I think the buyer overpaid.
