Re: [MBZ] Fw: transmission repair "factory PDF"

2009-01-19 Thread Christopher McCann
Excellent. Look forward to it.

I received a really good 722.3.4 rebuild manual today. 100 pages, all in
plastic page protectors and very easy to use, conversational language. Tons of
pictures, lots of helpful notes and suggestions. Apparently this trans is far
easier to rebuild than the 722.1.2, at least that's what this manual says.

I sent the video priority mail, to Dave on Friday the 16th. He should get
it real soon.

Sounds good. I'll check out the YouTube thing. I'll put a high-res
copy on one of the servers at work as well and let you know how to get
at it.

DAVE, make sure to tell us all when it is available to watch.

I don't think the video is available for purchase anymore...maybe we
could put it on youtube? Technically it's still the property of the
creator, but since it is no longer available, I don't have scruples about
making it available to people who need the info. Not like we'd be making
money off it.

That would be great. I would have had to have paid someone put it on DVD as I
can't watch VHS, so it works out really well for me.

I purchased a video (VHS) "Transmission Rebuild, Mercedes 722.315 Auto,
by

D.T. Charnews, 2004.

Its yours (free) if you want it. The guy looks like he is working in his
basement and films bits and pieces as he goes through the rebuild. It
would
have been real helpful to me, but of course I have to be led around by
the

hand on most things.

Maybe someone else can chime in, I'm sure my lead for buying it came from
one of these lists.

Thanks
