Re: [MBZ] Fwd: GRILLE badges

2014-09-18 Thread Hendrik and Fay via Mercedes
How dare you actually have an on topic message, here we are happily
talking about aliens taking all our leaders off to some distant planet
ruled by apes and you have to start blabbering about MB high mileage awards.

Anyway it won't count until we see a pic of it on the grille.
Plus those things are not available up here, not sure about Euroland but
I do know of a Aussie fella who got a mate in the US to organize some
awards for his Oz Mercs, not sure how he got away with it as the VIN is
generally different to the US style VIN?

Hendrik
who has no bling on the grille but is due his 250k one and the 500k
should be a couple of years away

Yes I have 250k kms ones on each of my two. Paint faded on one I had them
send a new one. I am going for 500k badge for my 90 300D.

I just got the high mileage award in the mail for Frosch. Nice big box
with a small grille jewel and a folder. Pretty heavy medal, but not the
cloisonné of the older examples. No need to be a club member, just own the
marque.

Just attach them to an email and Dan will approve the email when he
notices it. He's been pretty good about that.
