Re: [MBZ] Good news/bad news CL600
I'll have to see what the WIS says, if it says. I'm thinking this is what the guy who had it left it at the dealer for, traded it in or something then it went to a Copart auction. I'm guessing like a 8-10hr job by the book but I don't know, might not be that long but it appears to be somewhat involved. The guy I bought it from said it was the oil cooler issue but I'm not seeing any evidence of oil leak except a bit at the rear around the bell housing, nothing significant. Oh well, fun times... --FT On 12/22/22 11:29 AM, Andrew Strasfogel wrote: How many hours of your labor would that take? Ordered the part, $55, it came yesterday so I figured I could do a quick swap. Wrong. There is no way to get the thing out without removing (partially) the intake manifold as it lacks about an inch or two of clearance to slide it out of its hole. Bugger. [MBZ] Good news/bad news CL600
The good news is that the oil cooler on the CL600 looks to be ok. So no near-total engine tear down to replace it. Sorta good news is that the issue now appears to be the right cam position sensor, the code for which I saw when I was checking the car out. I think that’s what’s causing poor running.
