That's good.   As a 50 year owner of MB Diesels, I can relate...   Slowly


Of all the thousands of cars that passed my 200D, most of them have been 
crushed and made into various Japanese cars several times, then made 
into a Korean or chinee car.   My 200D lives on.  And my son's 200D 
lives on also. (As do the two 240Ds)


In MBCA, new members would often ask where they should put their club 
decal/sticker.   My standard answer:  On a Diesel, the driver side 
corner of the rear window, so those passing you can see it.  On a 
vergasser, the passenger side corner of the rear window, so those you 
pass can see it.


The great thing was they never quite knew if it was a joke, or 
serious.   It is BOTH!

I thought it was time to bring this out again since I just found it 
again. I originally wrote this up in 2012. Jingle Bells Diesel

Jingle bells, Diesel smells, vacuum sprung a leak,
Oh what fun it is to ride in an old 240D, HEE!!

Jingle Bells, Diesel smells, Vacuum sprung a leak,
Oh what fun it is to ride in an old 240D.

Sliding through the snow,
In my old 240D,
Over the streets we go,
people pass with ease.

The seat belt buzzer rings,
But I know we're buckled tight,
If we get through this Christmas snow storm, We'll make it home tonight!

Oh!

Jingle Bells, Diesel smells, vacuum sprung a leak,
Oh what fun it is to ride in this old 240D, Hee!

Jingle bells, diesel smells, vacuum pump is weak,
Oh what fun it is to ride in this old 240D.

On and on we go,
In My old 240D,
What's that in the road,
Up ahead I see?

Piled up behind a truck,
Are all those passing cars,
As I creep by in the left hand lane, I thank my lucky STAR!!

We've finally made it home now, so let's go have a beer!
