Might want to check that oil. If you have too much oil and a loss of coolant, maybe some of it is in the oil? [MBZ] Never ending
Decided to burp the cooling system on Gump in preparation for the head work. Got her up on a ramp and lit her off. Bubbled away, expelling air for about 45 minutes. Finally she was done and I capped the radiator and rolled her off the ramps. Took her around the block to allow the water pump to circulate stuff. No rise in temp, so I am happy. Figure I should be able to park and let her rest until I get parts. Went out today to check under the hood. See oil level on flat ground and how the coolant is settled in. Oil is overful by a half quart. How in heck did that happen? Release the radiator cap and in nearly pops off with so much air pressure behind it. Figure I have a good exhaust leak into the coolant. Light off and take a look at the oil pressure drop from 3 bar to nothing. WTF? I know it is full up, spin the 730 cap and lots of blow by. Oil Pump went to heaven? clay ___ http://www.okiebenz.com For new and used parts go to www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
