At least you have a nice place to stay while you are working on the palace.
Doing it with your own hands is good too. I've not attempted more than some
remodeling and installing a bathroom and septic system for it [though I did
have the tank installed, I dug the drain field by hand]. You'll look back on
these years and say "Why/How did I ever do that?" You will do it in
efficient comfort though.
I know what you mean about the posts getting cold before you get to them.
I've been that way with my writing project. That has been sucking up my
time for a year now, but is closing in on being done - good think as I start
teaching it in September.

Haven't been writing too much. Mostly by the time I get around to
reading something it's already been answered days ago.
Not anywhere near finished though I do have the cupola on now so
at least it doesn't rain in anymore. Now if I could only get the
finish concrete done on the outside I could remove the support
frame and get to doing some of the inside. Oh well some day.
