Actually they include the CDC group of 18-25 yr olds as children - the
reason being, this age group is more heavily involved in gangs and drugs
which greatly increases the damage claimed by guns. When removing the
18-25 yr old group from 'death by gun' the number of children accidentally
killed by guns (which the anti-gunners cite as up to 13 pr day!!) drops to
less than those killed in bath tubs (less than 40 IIRC although that's way
to many). Yet no group is calling for banning bah tubs. ;-^
The DCD website has the latest data BTW - but I don't have the link anymore.

As they're an anti-gun group we can probably assume their number is high
although this number shows up on a lot of websites.
These groups usually also count police shootings. Gotta watch
that kind of lying. (Were firing squads still in use, they'd
probably count them too.) They also count 18yo, etc., as 'children'.
