My mother commented (all Germans on that side of the family) that her uncle Ed
nearly ALWAYS had a bottle of beer in his hand, but she never saw him drunk
once. I imagine she's exaggerating the always part, but when you grow up with
beer as part of your culture, as a beverage with no stigmatism attached, the
attitude is entireley different...and much better. My four oldest girls (1.5
years to 6 ) all drink little cups of beer occassionally or pass my bottle
around. They like wheat - nothing too dark or bitter. And I've never even seen
it make them sleepy let alone drunk. To them, it's no different than wanting
my can of Diet Coke. They LIKE it.

Interesting stuff. Nothing on the rumour, though huh? I'm a OEM kinda guy
for the most part, but understand rules are meant to be broken, especially
with globalization market outsourcing these days.
Typically, I like a European label on my parts, and then North America.
Asia is hit-or-miss, I have my country of origin preferences, China and
Korea being at the bottom.
These Bosch are made in France, so I was pretty content with that. The NGK
are from Germany, pretty much the best in my book for MB service parts.
I've sworn off Autolite, Champiion, Beck Arnly ages and others ages ago. I
haven't sourced Beru to date.
Semi-related: I think 3 brands of shocks were put in these, but the only
one to live by
