In most places it is paved. Not all paved. Still long sections are gravel. SWMBA drove up, then a round trip to SEA. The biggest issue is getting the car to light off at -40c of a winter. Paired with a duovalve with a mind of its own as to when hot is called for, no matter which season. I did consider that, but she had extensive tin worm when I got her, required lots of renovation to get really roadworthy (She lived on a small island for 15 years), and though very capable of traversing WA, ID, MT and into ND, in the middle of February, in a blizzard for a few hundred miles, then turn around and do the return all within seven days. I think SWMBA would have me shot, the HOA would not allow the car to be parked outside, and there are not enough parts available for me to keep her on the road here. Nor are there qualified mechanics. One small town Barney Fife gave me grief. Pulled me over on some ginned up reason. I quoted statutes to each of his attempts. Just made him unhappy, so he gets on his radio to run me. I think the other side of the conversation over the radio frustrated him even more. He came back all huffy, returned my documents, and told me to be safe, but did not apologize. Never had issue with any other LEOs.
