Hail Chuck! He truly loved the club, meaning the members. When I was overseas, he asked me to help test some virtual meeting software. He didn't know I was not in the states. I agreed to help, but then explained I was in a bandwidth constrained location. Perfect, he replied. If this works, no one on the MBCA board can complain about having a poor connection. It did work just fine, which impressed me! I don't know if he had much luck with the board, he was trying to encourage virtual meetings vice plane tickets to fly everyone to a physical meeting. -- Max Dillon Charleston SC '87 300TD '95 E300 ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: https://server.secureplusplusfour.net:2083/cpsess595060604/3rdparty/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com

Oh man, thats too bad. I'll never forget the time I called somebody a maroon meaning to reference Bugs Bunny and Chuck emailed me "I think the word you wanted is 'moron'." We had a laugh when I explained. -Curt Not many people better than Chuck. Few people have done more for MBCA and owners of elderly MBs that are not collector cars. Herr Booth is the only one I can think of, for the latter, And Kathy K for the former. ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: https://server.secureplusplusfour.net:2083/cpsess595060604/3rdparty/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com

That's sad to hear. Seemed to be a good guy based on the limited interaction I had with him.
